Motul 8100 X-cess Gen 2 is a 100% synthetic 5W-40 — the versatile, widely-approved everyday synthetic for European performance engines. The 5W-40 grade balances cold-start flow with a robust high-temperature film for spirited street and occasional track use.
It holds a deep approval list (BMW LL-01, MB 229.5, VW 502.00/505.00, Porsche A40) and meets GM-Opel LL B-025, covering a huge range of German and Euro applications with one spec-correct oil. Porsche A40 is not C40 or C40 GT — do not use this in a 718 GT4, GTS 4.0, GT4 RS, or 992 GT3.
